"Green" has went from buzz to a permanent fixture in the building industry. Green products utilize recycled materials, minimize harmful manufacturing processes, and over all leave a smaller carbon footprint that will benefit our planet.

• Choosing higher quality materials is considered green, because they are less likely to fail and be discarded into landfills.
• Green means limited transportation.
• Products manufactured with a high content of recycled materials are green.
• Many Lumber mills replant after intensive harvesting of timber this is also a green practice.
• Many products can be twisted into being green just by eliminating the energy to obtain it; eventhough they are not labeled "green".
